Corralejo

Corralejo is possibly the largest resort on Fuerteventura and has a wide variety of restaurants & bars, many of which look out over the sea. It also has its own beaches and spots for fishing (let us know if you catch anything!).

If you like shopping, the main street through Corralejo has many designer shops and is great to stroll down on your way out for the evening. Pick up something for a smart night out or something for the beach – it’s all there. As well as our favourite ice cream shop Coco Banana!

Corralejo old town is particularly attractive with huge pedestrian areas housing restaurants in winding streets with tables spilling outside. We like ‘Music Square’ where you can grab a drink, maybe something to eat, and sit listening to live music well into the night. It is not a town of ‘nightclubs’ so if clubbing is your thing, you won’t find it here. Instead it has its own unique charm with nearly every bar & restaurant owned by the people who live and work there.

If you are lucky enough to visit during a festival (there are many) Corralejo is buzzing with fancy dress, shows, music & dancing. All outside of course. Pick up a Mojito from a pavement stand and join in!

The small port in the harbour area has regular water taxis to Lobos island and fast ferries to Lanzarote. The kiosks in the harbour offer a range of water sport activities from jet skiing to scuba diving. Or hire a catamaran for the day and be pampered with a trip out and lunch.
